Question:

How would I find clients once I've gone through the Food Coach Academy program?

— Dorien Morin

Answer:

I'm gonna take a step back into my history of getting Reiki masters into, uh, Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. It was way back in the day, right? And it was, um, you know, these reiki masters. I remember the HR calling and laughing and saying, do you even have to pay them these reiki people? And there was no job description for them. And because they were brand new, the same's gonna happen with food coaches, but it's gonna be an accelerated rate. What's gonna happen is once food coaches hit the airwaves, right, then there's going to be, um, a recognition of food coaches, hopefully a national recognition, uh, recognition of food coaches. And then you find clients the way you, I'm just gonna say you follow your heart. When we listen to Chef Michelle, we find that he, he was gonna retire and then all of a sudden he just started, started cooking and people came to them, came to him, and they come to others. When you have a passion in your heart and you really believe in what you're doing this, the best referral is those that you've helped refer to you. But also I am imagining it is there's gonna be job descriptions for these in the food is medicine movement, the culinary medicine movement that's been around a lot more than that. Um, people will be looking now for culinary medicine experts that are now gonna be term food coaches.
