Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp white sesame seeds
  • 4 sheets of nori
  • 4" x 6" (10 cm x 15 cm) piece of kombu seaweed
  • 2 tbsp black sesame seeds
  • 1/2 tbsp salt
  • 1/2 tbsp white sugar
Toast the sesame seeds in a small pan on low heat for about 8-10 minutes (or until they start to brown a bit). Remove from heat and let cool while you complete the other steps. Cut the nori and kombu sheets into the smallest pieces possible using a food processor. Combine the sesame seeds, seaweed, salt and sugar in a bowl and mix well. Store in an airtight container in a dark place for up to two months.
